early interventions
There are many roadways a child may travel to find his/her place in the world.
To find that special place a child must discover who he/she is, as well as the learning style best suited to his/her individual needs. Every child needs to know the particular form of creative expression that will fuel their individual learning journey. The gifts of every child are needed in every community, in every place.
Sometimes, the roadway to learning is blocked. It may be blocked by language delay. It may be blocked by social or emotional problems or physical ailments. It may be blocked by external factors in the child’s environment. The Early Learning Branch of Alberta Education assists families through early intervention services. These services are provided to open pathways to successful learning which might otherwise remain closed. Services are there to provide helpful strategies for families, by professional therapists and teachers. The programs provided are in the service of unlocking and promoting the gifts every child has to offer.
